đ The Birth of HilalHaven HilalHaven was born from a quiet longing: to carry the beauty of our heritage into modern life.
As a team rooted in Islamic and Middle Eastern traditions, we noticed a gap. What we found was either deeply traditionalâsteeped in ritualâor entirely disconnected from our cultural identity. We wanted something in between: pieces that whispered rather than announced. Objects that felt like a soft echo of home, without needing translation.
Inspired by the hilalâthe crescent moon that marks new beginningsâwe created HilalHaven. A space where culture meets contemporary design, and where every piece carries a subtle reminder of peace, patience, and connection.
Our Founder â Sara's Story Sara grew up between two worlds: a Syrian-Lebanese home filled with Islamic art, olive wood beads, and the scent of jasmineâand a fast-moving London life where she learned to navigate both.
She never wanted to wear her faith as a statement. She wanted something quieter. A reminder she could carry to work, to coffee, anywhereâwithout explanation.
But everything she found was either too traditional or too generic.
So she started searching. She traveled across Turkey, Morocco, and Egyptânot as a designer, but as a curious observer. She spent afternoons in crowded souks, learning to spot real craftsmanship from tourist souvenirs. She drank tea with metalsmiths in Fez, watched ceramic glazes cool in Istanbul, and filled notebooks with patterns she couldn't yet name.
That's how HilalHaven was born: not as a design house, but as a curated space. A place where she could share the beauty she foundâfor anyone who appreciates quiet elegance.
âHilalHaven is my love letter to the culture that shaped meâand an invitation for others to find their own haven within it.â
